Tri
Source designs, engineers and manufactures
kiosk solutions for the retail, consumer products and
specialty industries. These solutions are designed to
overcome the challenging requirements of today's
operating and marketing environments:
-
High
performance PC hardware to support interactivity,
database connectivity and/or high resolution
graphics and video.
-
Limited size
to minimize loss of important selling space.
-
Durability
and reliability to support continuous operation.
To satisfy
these requirements, companies can no longer take an
off-the-shelf PC and incorporate it into a particle
board enclosure. Components must be carefully chosen and
integrated such that several key operating requirements
are satisfied:
-
Airflow and
cooling must be managed to disperse component heat,
while minimizing or eliminating dust, which
typically carries a static charge that can disable
or cripple any electronic system.
-
Disparate
power systems for different components and
subsystems must be combined to reduce space, filter
and regulate the "dirty" power that accompanies most
public and commercial operating environments.
-
Network
connectivity must support secure wired and/or
wireless connectivity to corporate networks and/or
the Internet.
-
Software and
control subsystems must address contingencies,
including unexpected power outages and reboots,
irregular network connectivity, paper and other
supply issues, unexpected user interactions and
more.
-
Systems must
support a variety of add-on components to support
differing environments, including printers, barcode
readers, video & still cameras, mag-stripe readers
and more...
Tri Source has
developed product lines to satisfy these requirements
and more in varying form factors. Each of these product
lines can be customized to suit specific requirements
for size, ergonomics, user interface, network
connectivity and more. Please
